Some editing, I make a duplicate layer b&w and blend it in with masks to create more depth. basically..

That is the mutts nuts. The rider is stupidly sharp, plenty of dirt flung up from the back tyre, gorgeous contrast with the ominous sky and cracking DOF.

Once again, your 5D makes me rather jealous!

My camera and lens has gone off to be serviced, I had a much lower hit rate than normal at this meeting and wouldn't focus at all sometimes so your comment made me smile! The rest of the gallery should go live on londonbikers this weekend.

well there's still some shots that are up to your usual standard... like i've said before - jealous!

how much is a service costing you? my 1D mkii could do with some tlc, but not sure who to use and how much to pay.

I'm using Colchester Cameras, they are an authorised Canon service centre which consists of a strip down and thorough check of everything so they tell me, price is £160 + any parts it might need, i'll let you know of my final bill its my first time using them. I'm still waiting to hear but my 5D will be full of dust from 18 months of MX action!
I sent it insured along with my 70-200L and they email you on confirmation of delivery and list what you sent, body caps, batteries etc etc.
