Something new

Sun Nov 26, 2006, 3:08 AM
For those of you who are used to just seeing my landscapes this new work might be a bit of a surprise.
A new departure for me and something I had been wanting to do for many a year but something a certain ex-wife wouldn't entertain but now i'm free of restrictions..
Have been working on this new subject for the past 18 months or so and have enjoyed what i have done especially when the models see their shots and are thrilled to bits with the results.
There is a fair bit more to come and a lot of it in colour for a change.

  • Mood: Yearning
  • Listening to: David Bowie
  • Reading: Screwfix Direct catalogue..
  • Watching: Paint dry
  • Playing: with ideas
  • Eating: Oataflakes
  • Drinking: water

To learn without doing is like loving without touching.

I don't care who you are, I'm not giving you my spoons!

I guess it's good that you are exploring different areas of photography. What you have done so far is really nice. You're paying good attention to lighting as far as subject matter and background, and your composition is great as always.

I would really like to experiment with this kind of portraiture, although most likely be a long time before that happens considering my age right now. ;)

From what I can gather, the moment when you pay attention to the beauty and form of a body and the way light plays upon it is the moment when you really create a beautiful photograph.

Keep up the good work. :)

that's too bad. i enjoyed your old stuff. the world, in particular the world of da, is overly saturated with the ones you are presenting now.

Interesting comment, and taken on board. These were my first ideas as it was all new to me and later ones changed style - watch this space!
